Immediate indication of jam during product conveying The maintenance free MOLOSmembran level indicators can be used as material jam detector in screw conveyors, although. As soon as a material jam occurs, the MOLOSmembran jam detector switches off the conveying process. These price-worth switches offer automated jam detection with high energy efficiency. No auxiliary energy and no special power cables are needed to operate these sensors. Furthermore the switches are easily to install and to operate. They are available with approvals for the use in potentially explosive atmospheres with dust or gas. Different options enable an optimal adaptation to the individual demands.

As well as providing transportation the screw conveyor may also be used to control the flow rate of the material to and from sieves. Production of high quality added value confectionery products with varying recipes is a complex process which demands weighing tolerances of the highest accuracy, especially for minor ingredients. Initially the various process steps were identified including the methods of ingredient reception, batch preparation, weighing tolerances, product screening and transportation. The material is screened and metal checked prior to entering a Gericke type GMS 700 litre batch mixer. This unit uses the “Multi-Flux” cross flow method which mploys twin counter rotating paddles to create a “fluidised zone” in the mixing chamber in which approximately 80 per cent of the mixing occurs. Compliance of RKR blowers and compressors with new directives The global quality and safety requirements for industrial products are rising increasingly. To persist in the market, certification processes are becoming more important. For the supply of oil-free blower and compressor units in the Eurasian Economic Community RKR has now acquired the TR Certificate for the national Machinery Directive (TR CU 0010/2011) and EMC Directive (TR CU 020/2011). Certification processes are complex and expensive. However, they can be simplified and accelerated by focusing the company’s expertise and policy consistently on quality and safety-enhancing measures. RKR could score with the existing certificate for Quality Management conforming to DIN EN ISO 9001.
